A solid blurt of D-beat from Denmark, this. Speaking in terms of other Southern Lord releases that opt for beats in the key of D it forges a middle course: not as raw or feedback-wrecked as Electric Funeral, but more maniacal and considerably less together-sounding than old hands like Wolfbrigade. Riffs are enjoyably chunky, vocals gargled and there’s songwriting enough that you don’t feel lost in a sea of meaningless noise. Conclusion? I hope to go and see them at the Birds Nest come May, but I don’t know as I’ll be buying the t-shirt.
