This is great stuff, jumpy weird sounding post punk/art rock. I suppose you can say its got a bit of Grass Widow, a little bit of the electronics of Le Tigre, or the Julie Ruin, elements of Erase Errata but less angular sounding.

Blanche Blanche Blanche seem to be just 2 folk, normally appearing as a duo, but this is their first record with other musicians, and as far as I can tell it was set up in a weird muso way, where people were given the basically giving a framework, and then told to go wild. Like jazzy beatniks.

It has worked out well though – this is an interesting, and really good, record. It has a way of worming it’s way into your brain, and it works well as a complete record, feeling like one long song rather than separate parts. If you are going to separate them, then stand-out tracks for me were ‘Flash the bios’ and the song that follows it, ‘Grey Pet’, these are both really great tracks.

I would recommend this to anyone – one of the most enjoyable things I have listened to for ages. Plus it’s short which works very well for me and my awful attention span. Great stuff.
