A pair of jolly decent punky indie rock efforts here, recorded at Nottingham Punk City, JT Soar, where they have achieved a mighty fine sound that perfectly suits the music. It’s upbeat and bouncy, and in a distinctly British fashion that makes me think of all sorts of long lost bands that I’ve forgotten the names of. Maybe a bit of Pylon, in their less emo moments. The second song is apparently written by Bon Iver. Not sure how much of their own tilt they have given it mind you. It’s a lovely college rock song, ready made for long summer drives. Liking what they’ve got here, this is one to keep an ear on if you like that kind of poppy indie rock. A circa 2015 English version of Beezewax would be AOK with me if that’s how they evolve.
