This was meant as a promo single for Graham’s recent album Success Racist, so I really should have reviewed it first. It contains the superb title track ‘Octopus Bribe’ plus the song ‘Zip Flag Erections’. I’ve already waxed lyrical about the former (one of Graham’s best) so I’ll focus on the latter. It’s another corker, with the structure again spot on. The repetitive guitar riff is fantastic and the drums shine through with their steady beat occasionally transforming into a some fast hits on the snare. The vocals are passionate and build up to a climax at the end. A great tape.
