This is some pretty great post hardcore from London. I’m reminded of Unwound in the hypnotic groove and prominent bass lines of tracks like “Nothing Special” and it’s probably Unwound who this band remind me of most across this tape but there’s bits of other forgotten 90s bands in there too like Dead Wrong in some of the riffs and guitar sound. Vocals veer from just beyond spoken to a more guttural yell. The track “Hard To Swallow” is driven and relentless and the build of the last song would make for a perfect ending to a live set. It’s right up my street so I’ve been playing it to death lately. Hope there’s more to come from COP.
