Recorded in 2010 and released in 2014, Heat Wilson play quirky psychedelic… indie/folk I guess. The vocals have to be heard to be believed. High pitched, like someone pretending to talk like a mouse, they are likely to be something you instantly get on with as you sit reading this review in your sweater while you drink from your twee coffee mug, or you, like me, are left rather bemused. The guitar and drums are purposefully shambolic and some synths come into play now and again, which are a highlight. It’s like a band playing a set in the Red Room.
