Vaaska are a band that have pretty much slipped under my radar, despite being active for well over 5 years, and that’s definitely more fool me.
This record is short and sweet, so short in fact I could barely think of what to write, as it ferociously powered on through each track, only allowing time to flip it over.
This record does exactly what it says on the tin (well D-Beat skeleton punk filled cover), classic relentless D-Beat drums, loud and in your face vocals, unforgiving pace, and a splattering of metal guitar solos thrown in for good measure. It’s everything you’d expect, but thankfully a hell of a lot more. If your main love is D-Beat this is a must have, if you just dip your ear in and out every so often like me, this would be a stand out record among the sea of generic bands to add to your collection.
