Reissue/bootleg of this great lil two-track ripper which originally came out of Australia back in 1979. Lead track ‘I Hate School’ is as pissily direct as you’d hope, leading with a grating, robotic riff and topped with some gloriously snarling female vocals that threaten to saw the top of your head off by the time things reach their marvellous, squalling climax. ‘New Kids Army’ belts along at a quicker pace and packs an admirably numbskulled guitar solo, and while it mightn’t be quite as coruscating as the a-side it’s still a sharp slice of yobby ’70s punk that rounds this thing off very nicely indeed.
