Ritual Control play some seriously impressive hardcore that’s about as ferocious as it comes. This 7″ features four songs and lasts around seven minutes, but that’s all the time they need to reduce you a gluey grey paste. It hammers and surges, occasionally threatening to become overwhelmed by its own fury yet retaining enough grip to keep things coherent. The songs are memorable despite the brevity and despite the brutality, reminding me of a cross between Artimus Pyle and Left For Dead “” lofty comparisons indeed, but ones that are entirely justified.
