Powertool fit a lot into this 8 minute EP; the first track relies on one riff but it is good enough to do so. Fast paced and unrelenting, it is a great start. Song 2 has a bit more variance and is similarly good. Fitting somewhere in the realms of hardcore, punk and crust, I have not listened to much like this for a while so it’s quite refreshing. I’m no expert on the genre so I’m struggling with comparisons. Track 3 is short and sharp; the last song plays out fine too. A few of you out there will certainly dig this.
