BOOM. Toronto based La Luna are really onto something. Vanessa Gloux bellows her lungs out and three colleagues provide a fine backing. This traverses all sorts of hardcore and emo ground over two tracks and barely lasts three minutes. The vocals are full on wild and the music is genuinely exciting. I thought I was too old to get fired up by this kind of raucous effort but that’s apparently not the case. These are the lyrics to “Storm Song”: “I will overcome this. With my dying breath, I will destroy you. Forgive me.” Deal with it.
