From the Canadian Endless Blockade / Column Of Heaven / Death Agonies / Urine Cop affiliated vortex of terror, pain and existential dread comes this vocals-and-drums only noise outfit. This is an approach I can’t remember ever hearing before, certainly not as a band’s entire modus operandi so that’s something to be proud of. The noise and/or experimental music I’ve encountered is so often essentially beat-less, whereas this is obviously entirely rhythm led, using a quasi-industrial stomp through to thrashy d-beats that underpin yelled, abstract lyrics. The minimal setup offers maximum clarity, and it’s a monotonously head-caving, brutal assault that makes for a nightmarish seven minutes.
