A tight, tidy grind onslaught from this Peterborough act who’ve been around for a few years but only put out a handful of releases. This five-song effort plugs the gap well enough, a machinegun volley of dirty, virulent hardcore-imbued grind that makes me think of Nasum, Vae Victis, Full Of Hell and Enemy Soil, though this latter name could just be springing to mind because I saw their 10″ in a record shop recently. As tends to be the way, the madcap blasts are tempered by some slower, sludgier lingerings that allow you brief pause to get your breath back before the madness starts all over again. All told it’s pretty solid, and with the tangled-up riffing and chilly noise outro of ‘Filth Scheming, Shrill Screaming’ also enough to suggest that they could be on the brink of upping their game considerably.
