Here’s a satisfying pile o’ sludge from our very own shores … Rochester, to be precise. Combining dissonant flailings with purposeful, clench-jawed riffing the band inhabit the same aggro territory as Cavity, -(16)- and Down, though their doomier inclinations are also shot through with moments of grimy, mutant thrash reminiscent of Prong or ‘Burn My Eyes’-era Machine Head. This variance serves them well, chopping up the pace and breaking up the grey-brown torrent with some genuinely dynamite riffing as things thrust and surge towards their grimly inevitable conclusion.
