Labels: Slow Wank

This is quite brilliant. A mixture of slow, meandering bedroom acoustics and more drawn-out and wintry, stark experimental tracks with field recordings and other sounds drifting in the background. The vocals when they do appear are hushed, distant and touched by sadness. The opener “Cunty” is the closest you get here to a song in the traditional sense and it’s utterly beautiful – a cello ushers the track in and the vocals are cracked and just beyond a whisper. This record is as beautiful as it is bleak and it’s matched by a lovely package coming with a tape and 7inch too. It’s sold out on the label’s page but is absolutely worth your time – a real gem.
