Apparently this Wakefield band usually have vocals but this two-tracker is instrumental only. Andy’s review of “In Skeletal” earlier this year made me want to listen to this band and I remember downloading it but not quite getting around to listening to it. Not unusual for me these days. The first track here, “When I Loved Music, When Everything Was New” is a bit of a brooding, moody and noisy one that verges on post hardcore when it really kicks. It’s a bit of a corker actually. “Footprints On The Ceiling”, meanwhile, is a much calmer, pondering and more beautiful affair. Good pair of contrasting tracks here and enough to make me want to look up all their other stuff.
