Bright Garden seem to be ripping off ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ as they open up with ‘T.E.O.’; the chorus is uncannily similar. They formed to pursue classic punk but ended up with alt rock and, fair play, it sounds fairly original (except for that first riff!). I’m struggling to compare Fabio’s vocals but I’ll give it a go – they are semi-spoken and like a less-cockney 4-Skins combined with Jello Biafra. Does that help? At 48 minutes the album outstays its welcome; there are too many riff parts that are simply not interesting. Advice: make it more flipping interesting.
