In these woebegone days of the £7.00 7″ I was initially a bit narked to find that all but one of the tracks here were on the band’s demo. Turns out, though, that they’ve at least been given a bit of a twist: things’re beefier and, while still crazily hectic, somehow more ‘together’. The vocals – an aggressive, jeering squawk – are still the main standout, and sound like the person behind them is one blink away from grabbing you by the necktie and dashing an ashtray across the bridge of your nose. Basically, if you like idea of the Comes ripping through Black Flag’s ‘Nervous Breakdown’ 7″ then do yourself a favour and give this one a whirl.
