Moss Ross describe themselves as blackened screamo and I think this suits. It’s mostly melodic screamo, bordering on the post-rock side to the genre that popularised a few years back. But there is a definite black metal element too in the guitars at times; its slow but purposeful, with vocals mainly residing in the background. Two songs that come to 13 minutes in total; they are a little derivative at times (the EP open with an audio sample with melodic guitars in the background) but overall it’s well done.
