Eerie Gaits - Bridge Music - Download (2017)

Eerie Gaits is the solo instrumental project of John Ross from Wild Pink and it’s pretty different to Wild Pink. In fact, I’m not really sure what this sounds like. It’s probably easier to tell you what it doesn’t sound like and that is all of the usual suspects in the post rock world that you might think of when the word “instrumental” is mentioned. Eerie Gaits is more ambient and meandering and even hints at folk with the guitar sound here and there – see opener “Kingston-Rhinecliff” for starters. Plus, there’s an accordion and slide guitar that surface on occasion. I’ve played this album through every night since it came in – I think I quite like it.
