People seemed to spill their beans for this one, and I’ve been having a hard time trying to figure out why. The basic idea … ‘Pick Your King’ by way of Discharge … is sound, the execution is absolutely on-point and the politics certainly can’t be sniffed at given the terrible times we’re staggering through as a species. Something, though, ultimately fails to connect, and I’m left pulling the same kind of enough-of-this-let’s-get-onto-the-next-one face as when I listen to Boston Strangler or whatever other feted bit of hc tomfoolery it is I can’t 100% buy into.
