Christ, look at that sleeve … s’like something Poundland might put together for a Halloween promotion! As for the band, I have a feeling I’ve heard ’em before, and their having a couple of releases on Per Koro would back this up, but I’m not 100% sure. Anyway. They play guttural, solidly-done death-grind that has a great, claggy guitar sound and a stompy sense of abandon to it. The title track weighs in at seven and a half minutes – odd for this sort of stuff but they manage to pull it off, tasteful guitar solos and all. Elsewhere they have a shorter number and a Misfits cover that’s daft as an idea but actually comes out ok in the wash. Comparisons come in the form of Bolt Thrower, Hierophant, ASRA and Organ Dealer, and while I’m not losing my head for any of it I’d certainly give some of their other stuff a go if it happened to cross my path.
