It feels like it’s been a while since there was new music from Flemmings – 2 years according to Bandcamp. While the first demo had traces of indie pop, their last release was a decidedly louder affair and this new 10″ sees them ploughing further down that track. It’s got an older school punk rock feel but while it’s noisier than their first release it still features plenty of hooks – see “The Last Minute” for starters. The chaotic side of the band that lurks throughout is then given free rein, especially in the vocals, on closing track “Reunion”. Flemmings are pretty driven nowadays – glad to have them back.
