See Through Dresses - Horse of the Other World - LP (2017)

Labels: Tiny Engines
Review by: MH

This doesn’t really sound much like I was expecting it to. While I haven’t heard their first LP, 2015’s “End Of Days” was more of a big rock record whereas this new one is predominantly hazy dream pop with a few tracks that break out of that mould in fine style. Early highlight “Radiant Boy” is faster and “Lucy’s Arm” is just a brilliant indie rocker. This side of the band reminds me of their song “Drag Scene” which was the track that initially won me over on “End Of Days”. There are plenty of pretty songs on here too like “Pretty Police” as well as the initially sad and understated title track. I like this record quite a lot.
