Jeni Magana has a slight hint of Maura Davis in her voice as she plays out some well written alt pop. It’s less intense than Denali but I enjoy the very simple song structure, especially the gently strummed guitar. Magana’s voice is good enough to carry things anyway and, actually, the instruments do a far better job by staying out the limelight, adding subtlety, and letting her get on with it on this four song EP.
