Laidback and nostalgic indie stuff here from a guy who’s been involved with all sorts of bands hovering around the indie stratosphere as far back as Aberdeen who released music on Sarah Records back in the day and he also did some production work on the excellent Luxembourg Signal album a couple of years ago. I say “indie stuff” as it flits in and out of genres and is hard to lump into one (a good thing). Some of the opening few tracks have a nostalgic 80s feel with the synth prominent and wistful lyrics but it dips in and out of electro-pop and more atmospheric dreamy, shoegazey stuff towards the end in some of the remix tracks. “Stuff” – there’s that word again. Anyway, it’s a more than pleasant listen particularly late at night.
