Nasty, caustic, hostile stuff, this. Noise-rock plays probably the biggest part in the band’s sound, but there’s a fair dose of splenetic, white-knuckle hardcore on display as well. Vocals are sometimes a feral snarl and sometimes a strangled Jello Biafra/Gary Floyd yodel. The music scrapes and gouges, antagonistic even at its most direct but occasionally minded to spiral off into a profoundly negative psychic space that seems capable of zeroing in on the worst moments of your life and fashioning a time loop from them. Unbelievably it all lasts less than half an hour, but while it’s happening to you it feels like all the merry hell of human existence.
