Fast and very, very furious, Impalers continue to have at it with their annihilatory punk attack. While they clearly know their way around a D-beat and have a keen sense of the genre’s history, it’s the tricksier, outlier moments that ensure the band’s game remains so hot. Frantic solos, curveball riffs and some unexpected vocal touches on tracks like ‘Technology’ and ‘Nuclear Cabaret’ ensure you’re kept on your guard – moments that don’t necessarily shatter your sense of the familiar but twist it just sideways enough to let you know you’re onto something different.
