Heavy, chunky, mid-paced metalcore here, harking back to a time when you didn’t need a doctorate in modern jazz to play the stuff. The riffs have to turn sideways just to get through the door and the vocals have that prelude-to-a-prolapse vibe, all of which is entertaining if admittedly par for the course. There isn’t much variation over the two tracks which leads you to wonder whether a full-length might tumble into monotony, but if you dig the likes of Xibalba, Dragbody, Earthmover and Beneath The Remains then it should at least be worth a little nibble.
