Newts continue their brand of melodic noise-rock, which is an oxymoron, I know, but also the best way of summing them up. I like it because whilst it is essentially punk, everything about the band seems to scream positivity. I could be sorely mistaken, since I only catch hints of the lyrics, but even then I hear “the best days of you life” on ‘Mission Creep’. The band name and the tempo both hint at it too, as do the sung vocals. It’s like the noise-rock version of Jesu; well worth a listen.
