I’m almost ready to start calling Say Sue Me prolific as this new single comes shortly after their LP and covers EP a few months ago. Plus, there’s another track on a new release somewhere in my review queue too. The first track here is a new one taken from the same sessions as the LP and the tender chorus features the name of the LP so may even have inspired the title at the time. It’s very nicely paced and kind of mellow for the most part – something very Pavement-esque about the guitars on the first half of this track too. The last 30 seconds or so of the song changes tack as it shoots into a rocky outro all of a sudden. “B Lover” is the other song on here and is one of the surfy, more upbeat tracks from the LP. While these two tracks don’t necessarily highlight the more dreamy indie pop side of the band, this is a good taster for anyone who hasn’t heard them yet.
