An angry, stodgy lump here that boshes together 90s metallic hardcore (Disembodied, Kickback, Harvest) and the last few years of Southern Lordcore. It’s all satisfyingly hefty and features enough dissonant undercurrents to keep you on your toes, though the mono-grunt vocals become wearisome after a time. If you dig stuff like Xibalba, Nails or that recent Jesus Piece LP then you probably won’t be disappointed, but whether they’ll ever develop the clout to threaten the genre’s past masters definitely remains to be seen.
