More brilliant blister n’ scrape from Iceland’s Dauðyflin, this time in the form of a six-song 7″ for Iron Lung Records. Straightforward galumphing rhythms jar against FX-drenched guitars and acres of needling feedback, while the venomous, acid-spitting vocals serve as the final insult. Most of the time things maintain a frantic pace, though ‘Skófla Skófla’ adopts a sinister, mid-paced lollop – it’s my personal pick of the bunch, though truth be told it’s all rather excellent.
