Means Of Control are a Polish grind act who’ve been going since 1992, though this appears to be only their second release. The 13 songs are stodgy and kinda cumbersome, rolling relentlessly along with scant regard for colour or variation. The riff are purposeful and there are some cool moments of ringing dissonance, though it’s all wrapped in this weird, vacuum-packed sound that clinically separates all the constituent parts and makes you feel like they’ve been put together by robots on an assembly line. If you dig Nasum, Napalm Death and Assück then you might find something here, though truth be told you’ll be infinitely better off listening to Nasum, Napalm Death or Assück.
