An EP’s worth of rowdy stuff wherein the worlds of noise-rock, sludge and hardcore collide. As you’d expect, feedback whistles, riffs club relentlessly away and vocals are delivered with much spite. The first two tracks are concise and keep their scope limited, while closer ‘Burn It Down’ claws its way dutifully past the nine-minute mark just because it wants the hurt to last. In their finer moments they recall some sort of mix-it-up between Deadguy, KEN mode and Unsane, though it has to be said that they never get close to the mania or desperation exhibited by those three greats. Instead, as they below repeatedly on the opening track of the same name, “this is fine.”
