Thought Fluoride’s first EP was decent but with this ‘un they’ve really taken things to the next level. Dense, physical, razorwire-wrapped hardcore is the order of the day, dosed with plenty of grind and the occasional leaden lump of powerviolence. The shrill whine of feedback never seems far away, and occasional ambient burbles also make their presence felt. Full Of Hell, Unyielding Love, Cloud Rat and Iron Lung all serve as suitable points of reference at one point or another – not bad comparisons to make, and ones that are certainly well deserved. Check it out if you like your hardcore fast, jagged and hateful, and be sure to check ’em out if they come through your town since they’re ruddy great live to boot.
