Quick n’ dirty two-song 7″ here from Bewitcher, which, depending on when you hear it, serves as either a decent appetiser or postprandial accompaniment for this year’s excellent ‘Under The Witching Cross’ LP. The first track is what we’ve come to expect: a swaggering, lecherous slice of early-days heavy metal that flies the flag for acts like Venom, Judas Priest and Bathory. The flip is a reliably on-point cover of ‘Show No Mercy’ by W.A.S.P., a song they they charge with their own relentlessly sweaty speed metal energy while paying suitable homage to Blackie Lawless and all the leather-clad miscreants who’ve served him.
