A second vast, vile outpouring from Remote Viewing, and once again it’s wonderful. If you were wise enough to check out their ‘Blood Loss’ debut then you’ll know to expect another sweaty, shuddering amalgam of sludge, post-metal and noise-rock that’s chock-full of chugs, chunters and achingly weary creaks. Will Haven, Terra Tenebrosa and Rorcal all serve as suitably murky references, though the subtle Quarterstick-y Slintferences to be found on tracks like ‘Suspicious Embraces At The Museum Of Dental Malpractice’ drive home the message that the manifold punishments this band mete out are as psychic as they are physical.
