Just in case the ruddy great vulture on the sleeve didn’t give it away, Scavengers Circle are a crust punk band. Their sound is crisp, clear and metallic, with the high-velocity hardcore assault offset by the occasional thrashier bout or moment of rock n’ roll impudence. World Burns To Death meets Doom is the first comparison that springs to mind, although this hoary baseline is liberally sprinkled with a dashes of Bolt Thrower (especially on ‘Engulfed In Famine’), Sacrilege and Sepultura. Not a bad place to be starting from, it has to be said!
