Amid the Old Wounds is Daniel from Wishes on a Plane playing gentle emo influenced acoustic music. One man and a guitar, strumming and emoting. It’s really nicely done, the recording is clean and warm, it totally suits the style he’s gone for here. The music sits neatly with turn of the century indie / emo, and that makes sense as apparently these songs were written as long ago as 2000 but have only just been completed and made ready for release. It’s a nice project and definitely deserved to see the light of day, the kind of day where the clocks have gone back and suddenly it’s dark and you realise you’re now well and truly into Autumn. Ah.
