Five tracks of heavy, thunking metalcore that put me in mind of that point in the 90s where the furrowed chun of bands like Undertow, Unbroken and Chokehold began to give way to the jagged dissonance of Converge and Cave In. It’s a modernised take on the sound of course … the vocals have a blackened edge, and moments of moody atmospherica creep in here and there … but the overriding vibe I get is that this could almost a band from the early days of Ferret or Trustkill Records given a new lick of paint. For The Love Of revival, anybody?
