Music to walk through walls to, that’s what you’ve got here. Ten tracks of huge, bellicose hardcore that might gull you into thinking it’s simple but actually possesses no small amount of ugly depth and finesse. The sound is full and violent, a full frontal attack where riffs are levered up like buckling pallets and each breakdown has to be leaned into as though you’re drilling through concrete. The knuckleheaded, jaw-breaking sounds of Last Rites jostle violently with those of the Cro-Mags before being filtered through an indestructible-sounding ‘Wind Of Pain’ production job that ensures you don’t miss a single sneakily killer riff. It’s a monstrous release, pure and simple, and a fitting one with which to mark a decade of glowering existence.
