Tight ‘n’ tidy blurt of grind here from Suffering Quota who keep things interesting without ever getting too frilly about it. The meat of the matter is dense, hulking, stomp-on-yer-throat grindcore with a crusty edge, but amid all the battering you also get dissonant outgrowths and the occasional left field riff that’ll have you scratching whatever remains of your head. Compact as it all is there’s also a surprising amount of space and even a brief moment of creaky ambience to open things up – good stuff all round, and here’s hoping for even more weird when the fourth LP rolls around.
