Fast ‘n’ gnarly power violence out of Wales. I’d bet my back teeth that Crossed Out play a big part in the band’s listening, but the overall sound and two-person, drums-and-bass set-up also begs Godstomper comparisons. While the lo-fi aesthetic is on-point for the genre – you could definitely imagine them on a Fiesta Grande line-up, or hunched next to Suppression on a grotty-looking Bovine Records comp – I do wish the bass had a dab more clarity at times in order to give things a little added oomph. This said, though, it’s a good listen: ugly and remorseless, with vocal performances that sound genuinely wrenched
