Oof, the opening track on this short-but-not-sweet 7″ is a proper punch in the gullet: 90 seconds of fuzz-blasted mayhem splurged with snorted-out vocals and wrapped in a feral, barbed wire solo. Follow up ‘Weapon Of Tradition’ is even shorter and perhaps even uglier, though it does have the good grace to chuck in a serrated melody to (somewhat) offset the gnarliness. Closing out the a-side is ‘Exactly As They Wanted You’, which opts for a mid-paced pound before descending into an unsettling broken-glass jangle.

The whole of the flip is taken up by one song: a stark, feedback-strewn slog through the mire that feels like the messy collapse of a Noothgrush or Dystopia set. It doesn’t last five minutes but somehow feels like a whole miserable lifetime, and makes for a great contrast to the sneering anarcho rippers on the other side.
