Japan’s premiere purveyors of perma-stoned, harcore-charged rock ‘n’ roll are back with another LP and another chucklesome, UK82-skewing title. If you’ve not already engaged with ‘em then the inherent goofiness and cloying cloud of pot smoke could lead you to believe that things might be somewhat throwaway, but that would be a huuuuuuggge mistake because R&TS remain deadly and scarily focused. Here they blaze through 11 tracks of primo punk that’s equal parts Motörhead and GBH with traces of Thin Lizzy flair thrown in for good measure, with the sandout tracks for me being ‘Chain Smoke’ and ‘R&R Highway’. Someone, for god’s sake, put them on a tour with Zeke and make it come to the UK!
