Awesome. I am writing this review whilst consuming a one litre bottle of San Miguel that I found in the local convenience store. One litre of beer in a single bottle, what a fantastic invention! I am sure they have been around for years, but I could care less.
Wheels rock. I am not just saying that because one of their members is a media whore who writes for…Collective. But because I genuinely like this record. It’s a scorching slice of energetic rock music that has the drive and force of early Drive Like Jehu, and the balls out tendencies of Party of Helicopters. And it somehow comes out sounding like Dead Inside on “Year of the Horse”. They hit classy grooves and spit the vocals out like so many sticky greenies. That’s probably not such a good analogy. Anyway. There are two songs here and they both pound relentlessly. The guitars are twisty and really wrap around the rhythm to create the rock.
This gets the thumbs up. Now back to that litre of beer. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
