So this whole thing looks very swish with its white vinyl and swirling transperencies, just a shame that neither band is much cop at all.
The Kinetic Crash Cooperation just aren’t up to much, sounding here like a sloppy mish mash of fast, harsh hardcore and fast, harsh metal with the odd clunky Black Sabbath riff along the way. Yells and screams and all that old shit wrapped in a production so soggy it renders the whole thing limp and impotent before a dull remix pointlessly rounds it all off.
Never heard the Jam Session, but I know quite a few kids go gaga for them so I thought they might be worth a listen. Guess again. All they are is average screamo guff that fails to raise the pulse. Lots of stops and starts, lots of musical profficiency. Some of it sounds like what Crom-Tech might have sounded like if they were trying to rip off the Locust, but even if Crom-Tech had tried such a cheeky feat, at least they might’ve made it sound half-way decent.
