It’s been a while since I listened to this. I really forgot I had this little piece of clear pink bubblegum until I decided to rearrange my records. Not being very observant, I slid the record out and grooved to it on 45rpm. Suddenly, Hot Rod Tod started to sound like Alvin. The chipmunk. Very bad. Remove stylus. Hit it to 33rpm. Replace stylus. Restart dance session. Of course, while fishing for inserts (and there weren’t any but a sticker instead) I then noticed that 33rpm was written on the top right hand inner bag of the record. Ah, my bad. Still, it’s not nice to be deceived like that.

So”¦ they give us two tracks of post-punk sassydance-core pop rock. Tight low waist jeans. Tshirts two sizes too small. Greasy blacker than black hair. Sexy motherfucker snotty sounding types. Nyah nyah nyah ala Le Shok, Hot Hot Heat (sans keyboards), Moving Units. You know your stuff. You know you’ll like this. It may be nothing new. But I dig it. Hell yeah.

New 7″ out on october 15. Yes yes.
