Amigo - s/t - CD (2003)

Review by: Andy Malcolm

Urm. Fairly non-descript Brit indie going on here. Back in 1998 I would go to loads of gigs on my own and have some beers and

stand at the side of the room and observe countless nondescript Brit indie bands play for ages, and disappear, never

to be heard of again. I mean, I can’t even remember their names now myself, and I was there. Amigo strike me as such a band.

The kind of band that is going to set the world on fire for a boy who worships at the knees of nondescript Brit indie, the

boy who has 1500 cd singles of bands that you nor I care about. And that’s cool, because that boy doesn’t give a shit about

the Shivering or the Pine or whatever, much like we here at Collective do not give a shit about the bands he likes. Three

competent, melodic ditties with buzzing guitars and singing. The intro to the first song was borrowed from Radiohead. The

second song has bits that sound like Oasis. There’s a third song too. Really, I am wasting both the bands time and my time by

writing any more about this. Wrong website, try-> http://www.nme.com
